Oh my goodness! I watched the movie Phantom of the Opera today (the newer version) and it was sooooooooooooooooooo sad!!!!!!! I absolutely love the music but it ends so sadly. I think that the Phantom is really good at heart and I wish that he didn't have to be so evil. :-( for those of you who haven't seen it... you HAVE too! It's soooooo amazing!I going to have a party and everybody has to come and see it! Anyway, here's my favorite scene from it. the singers are simply amazing! The young girl (Christy) is only 16! Man, she can sing!!!!!!!

I had to do a journal for school on the topic was oppression. I needed to talk about a group of people who have experienced oppression in the past or present. I decided to talk about early Christian prosecution and found a very interesting website that talks all about Christianity. I'm not sure how accurate the website is but it talked about how the apostles were persecuted. I find it very interesting (and sad, but encouraging) that all of the 12 disciples were murdered except for John (who wrote the book of Revelations). He barely escaped with this life though when he was boiled in oil and than banished to the Isle of Patmos. I've attached a link (hopefully! we'll see if it works!) to the website. Even though we still face forms of persecution, those of us who live in America know nothing about the horrors that the early Christians faced. In other country's, however, people are constantly being beaten, imprisoned, and tortured for holding secret church meetings and for standing up for Christianity. I encourage you to go to the voice of the martyrs web page. There you can see view a prisoners list to see who is being held in captivity and who has been released. You can also get contact information in order to write letters to those in prison to encourage them in their endevours. I plan on doing this and I think it would be a real blessing if you all did to!

A couple of years ago, our worship pastor and his wife adopted three girls from Hatti. Unfortunately for various reasons, they were unable to bring the girls home with them, but just recently, God blessed them and they were able to take 2 of the 3 home! I am so happy for them! They are so precious and so blessed! Please pray for the little one still in Hatti. Pray that she will be able to come home soon!
