Persecuted Christians

I had to do a journal for school on the topic was oppression. I needed to talk about a group of people who have experienced oppression in the past or present. I decided to talk about early Christian prosecution and found a very interesting website that talks all about Christianity. I'm not sure how accurate the website is but it talked about how the apostles were persecuted. I find it very interesting (and sad, but encouraging) that all of the 12 disciples were murdered except for John (who wrote the book of Revelations). He barely escaped with this life though when he was boiled in oil and than banished to the Isle of Patmos. I've attached a link (hopefully! we'll see if it works!) to the website. Even though we still face forms of persecution, those of us who live in America know nothing about the horrors that the early Christians faced. In other country's, however, people are constantly being beaten, imprisoned, and tortured for holding secret church meetings and for standing up for Christianity. I encourage you to go to the voice of the martyrs web page. There you can see view a prisoners list to see who is being held in captivity and who has been released. You can also get contact information in order to write letters to those in prison to encourage them in their endevours. I plan on doing this and I think it would be a real blessing if you all did to!

This is so cool! In school I take a class called video production. We use apple laptops and when we're done we play around with the camera on them! My friend Niki and I took funny pictures of ourselves with wierd special effects and then put them on gizmoz.com. You can make movies with pictures of yourself and your friends! Here's us breakdancing! Niki is the one with the big eye and although it doens't look like it, I'm the one that looks like a little girl! haha! enjoy!
